This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect the personal data of visitors to the website parosmeraki.gr (the “Website”). Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”), Greek Law 4624/2019 and Greek Law 3471/2006, as in force.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data that is necessary for the purposes described below:

  • Contact form data: your full name, contact telephone number, email address and the content of the message you voluntarily send to us.
  • Technical and browsing data: IP address (in anonymised or shortened form where analytics tools apply this), device and browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on the Website and interactions. This data is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy) and only where you have given the relevant consent.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (for example health data, religious beliefs or similar information). Please do not include such data in the message field of the contact form.

3. Purposes and legal basis of processing

We process your data for the following purposes and on the corresponding legal bases:

  • Responding to and managing contact form enquiries. Data: full name, telephone number, email address, message. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Statistical analysis and improvement of the Website. Data: technical and browsing data collected through analytics cookies. Legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Technical operation, security and protection of the Website. Data: necessary technical data, including server logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Providing contact form data is optional, but it is necessary if you would like us to respond to your enquiry.

4. Recipients and processors

We do not sell or trade your personal data. Access is limited to our authorised personnel and the following service providers, who act as processors on our behalf under appropriate contractual obligations:

  • Webflow, Inc.: Website hosting provider and website platform.
  • Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd: Google Analytics and Google Search Console services, as well as receipt of contact form messages by email through Gmail.
  • Microsoft Corporation: Microsoft Clarity visitor behaviour analytics service.
  • Public authorities: only where required by law or by a court order.

5. Transfers outside the EU / EEA

Some of the providers listed above (such as Google and Microsoft) are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Any transfer of data outside the EEA is carried out on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (for providers certified under that framework) and/or the approved Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate supplementary measures, in order to ensure an adequate level of protection.

6. Retention period

  • Contact form data: retained for as long as necessary to manage your enquiry and for a reasonable period of up to twelve (12) months afterwards, unless a transactional relationship arises or a legal obligation requires a longer retention period.
  • Analytics data (cookies): retained for the periods set by the relevant providers (see the detailed list in our Cookie Policy).

After the above periods have expired, the data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data and receive information about how it is processed.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to the conditions set by law.
  • Restrict processing.
  • Data portability for data you have provided to us.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Despite these measures, no transmission of data over the internet can be completely secure and, therefore, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Minors

The Website is not directed at minors under the age of sixteen (16), and we do not knowingly collect data from such persons. If such collection is identified, the data will be deleted.

10. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Any updated version will be published on this page with a new update date. We recommend that you check this page periodically.

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website parosmeraki.gr, which is owned and operated by AMARONE PAROS E.E. (“Meraki”).

1. Acceptance of the terms

By browsing and using the Website, you fully accept these terms. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use the Website.

2. Nature of the information

The content of the Website (menus, dishes, prices, opening hours, photographs and other information) is provided for information purposes only and may change without prior notice. This information does not constitute a binding offer. Any enquiry or message submitted through the contact form (including booking requests) does not constitute a confirmed booking or contract unless we expressly confirm it by telephone or email.

3. Food and allergen information

Information about ingredients and possible allergens in dishes is indicative. As products and recipes may change, visitors with allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements must expressly inform the restaurant staff before ordering. We are not responsible for consequences resulting from failure to inform our staff.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Website (texts, logo, distinctive marks, photographs, graphics, design and code) is the intellectual property of the business or the respective rights holders and is protected by Greek and European law. Reproduction, copying, modification or commercial exploitation, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written permission.

5. Visitor obligations

Visitors must use the Website in accordance with the law and accepted standards of good conduct. Any action that may harm the operation of the Website, infringe third-party rights, or constitute unlawful or abusive use is prohibited. Submitting false information or third-party details without their consent through the form is also prohibited.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites (for example social media platforms and maps). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies or practices of those websites. Access to such websites is at the visitor’s sole responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the business, its legal representatives, employees, partners and service providers, as well as any third party involved in the design, development, construction or delivery of the Website, shall not be liable for:

  • viruses or other harmful elements that may be transmitted by third parties,
  • any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Website.

The above limitation does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory applicable law (in particular consumer protection law), such as liability for intent or gross negligence.

These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Greece shall have jurisdiction over any dispute that may arise. For consumers, the right to use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform remains unaffected: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used for the operation of the website, to remember your choices and to collect statistical information. In this Policy, the term “cookies” also covers similar tracking technologies (for example pixels and local storage).

  • Necessary / technical cookies: essential for the basic operation and security of the Website (Webflow platform) and for storing your cookie preferences. These do not require consent.
  • Statistics / analytics cookies: help us understand how the Website is used, so that we can improve it. These include Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Microsoft Clarity services. They are installed only with your consent.

  • _ga (Google Analytics): distinguishes unique users. Duration: 2 years.
  • _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics): maintains session state. Duration: 2 years.
  • _gid (Google Analytics): distinguishes users. Duration: 24 hours.
  • _clck (Microsoft Clarity): stores a user identifier. Duration: 1 year.
  • _clsk (Microsoft Clarity): connects page views within the same session. Duration: 1 day.
  • CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, SM (Microsoft Clarity): visitor identification and behaviour analysis. Duration: up to 1 year.
